So what’s a blue moon anyway?

A blue moon is when two full moons occur in one calendar month, one at the beginning of the month and one at the end.

May is a once in a blue moon month.  The 1st full moon is on May 4th with Sun in Taurus and Moon in Scorpio.

The 2nd full moon for May is on May 31st with Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius. 

Blue Moons are rare and only happen every couple of years.
